It's "mission accomplished" for a bay area boy who set out to climb Yosemite's El Capitan in a single day for a special cause.

11 year old Scott Cory and two adult climbers began their journey Tuesday morning. It took the group 13 hours and 40 minutes to reach the top of El Cap.

The climb usually takes a couple of days to complete, and it left the trio feeling pretty drained. The climb is expected to raise thousands of dollars for kids who lost their parents in last month's terrorist attacks. Scott says all he could think about was taking a shower, eating dinner and getting a good night's sleep.
